Here's wishing everyone a very Happy New Year and may many good things
come your way in 2009!!
As usual it's been very busy and my updates to the site get
pushed aside. I hope to do better this year. We haven't added much new lately but hope to do some adjustments
to our offerings this spring.
We will be
evaluating what we have sold in the different fragrances for the past year and those that haven't sold well may be dropped
in the future as well as some of the slower selling containers. Many customers are experiencing trying times in keeping
their business afloat in today's economy and by offering only the very best sellers we will help your candle
sales be better too.
For so many years we maintained
our pricing although we have experienced many price increases on our supplies. Recently we had to increase our
wholesale pricing on most containers or adjust the ordering requirements in order to make it feasible to include the
shipping. We regret having to do this but in order to keep operating it was necessary. Our candles are still great
smelling with a strong fragrance and are a great value compared to others on the market.
Many of our customers that normally carried the 16 oz. country jar candles have switched to the
12 oz. country jar in order to keep a candle they can offer to their customers in the $10 price range which seems to be a
magic number where sales remain strong and tend to diminish when the price goes higher.
We only show manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) on our site so your customers do
not know your cost. Our prices are based on industry keystone. Just drop us an email at kelly@kellyscandles.com with all of your business/contact information and we'll give you additional wholesale pricing information.
As a reminder ....
-- Our standard lid option on the 8 oz. Jelly Jar, 12 oz. Country Jar, and
the 16 oz. Pint Jar is now the BROWN smooth metal lid. We still have the GOLD and the WHITE lids available but
you have to request those colors on your order.
-- Most of our customers are using the brown kraft labels. But we
wanted to be sure you know we do have other options available. We have white, buff ... which is a creamy off-white,
light pink, and light blue in most sizes. There are other options avaiable like light green, light yellow, as well as
some brighter colors but these are by special order and with minimum orders of at least $300 on your first order. We
sometimes use the different colors for special scents or special candles we offer in our own store.
-- Great
selling fragrance! One of the more recent fragrances we added that has really done well is Hansel
& Gretel's House. Sales have been great for us as well as many of our customers who have tried this. This
fragrance for the past several months has by far outsold our core best sellers. So if you haven't tried this one
yet be sure to add it to your next order.
